Beginner Classes
Held every Thursday night, these classes are suitable for anyone who wishes to explore aspects of Buddhist philosophy without making any commitments.
These classes are also structured to suit students who may have had some previous connection with Buddhism and have reached the decision that they are ready to explore further this deep and profound philosophy.
During these classes you will learn various basic meditation skills. These help to alleviate stress, agitation and anger.
These classes map out the basic foundation of the whole spectrum of Buddhist philosophy. If you wish to study further, the classes then become the spring board to higher in-depth study of Buddhism by attending the more advanced classes held Tuesday nights at the centre.
The teachings follow traditional lines as practised over the years so the richness and vastness of Buddhism is never lost. However, there is a western influence which enables students to understand these precious teachings in an environment that encourages open discussion and lively debate.
